Lunging
Having learned to sit up only a few weeks ago, Eleanor is now lunging (ie leaning waaay out in front or to the sides to better reach stuff). She's even grabbier than before--holding her on your lap at the table is perilous as she MUST have the placemat, the napkin, the fork..whatever is in range. It's cool to see her developing new abilities.
We had a great day today. We actually both had the day off for MLK day. It snowed last night, so we walked the kids to daycare (before shoveling out the driveway). Got to the thrift shop's half-off holiday sale, went skiing on a local golf course, and got to the Midtown Global Market, which I'd been wanting to do since it opened last year. It managed to live up to expectations--I want to go back sometime and see the rest of it and get to try some of the other food.
Alas, tomorrow I have to go back to work. One coworker is on vacation this week and another is going on maternity leave starting Wednesday, which means the rest of us are going to be drowning.
